Who am I
I am Rami Saarikorpi, a Finnish photographer and consultant. I specialize in various advanced photography techniques showcased on these websites, but 360-degree panoramic photography is closest to my heart. I travel across Finland and Europe to photograph, teach, and lecture on the subject. Primarily, I create 360-degree presentation packages and digital twins for companies. In 2012, I co-authored the book "Näyttävä panoraamakuvaus" ("Spectacular Panoramic Photography") with photographer Kenneth Lehtinen. Even though the book is over a decade old, its content remains relevant today.
I have been practicing and studying 360-degree photography since 1996, and I have been teaching the subject since 2008.
I am involved in various AR and VR projects and have collaborated with Exel Oyj and plastic engineering students from PKAMK to develop a photography mast suitable for photographers. My images have frequently been selected among the best 360-degree panoramic photos globally and have been published in numerous international media and online publications.
I have photographed corporate and event photography for international organizations. For the World Rally Championship organization and RedBull, I have covered rallies in France, England, and Finland. I have photographed over ten events for internationally renowned light artist Kari Kola in more than ten countries. Since 2010, I have been photographing for McDonald’s in Finland and the British Isles. My work has taken me from +35°C in Portugal to -35°C on Saana Fell.
I am also part of Google’s Street View photography team, and the panoramas I upload to Google’s services receive over 12 million views annually.
This is a brief overview of what I have done so far. Many of the projects mentioned above are still ongoing, and new photography opportunities and ideas are constantly emerging. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to share more details.
