City of Light Jyväskylä

The City of Light event in Jyväskylä (26-28.9.2024) is now over. In addition to regular event photography, I once again captured 360-degree panoramas and this time also promotional photos for the Toyota Mirai hydrogen car.

The event lasted three evenings and attracted over 100,000 visitors. For comparison, the 2023 event lasted 10 days and had 170,000 visitors. This year's shorter event gathered a truly impressive number of visitors. The exact number of people who attended the event will be confirmed later.

The artists' light installations were mainly located in the city center and on the outskirts of the city center, from Ylistön bridge to the landscapes of Tourujoki. The distance from the nearest to the farthest artwork was about 3 kilometers. This was challenging for photography, as all roads and sidewalks were relatively crowded with people.

This was my 12th time at the event, and once again, the arrangements worked perfectly, and all the photos and media were captured as planned.
